Sculptra is an excellent treatment for cellulite for patients in NJ who are looking to get rid of lumpy, dimpled flesh on thighs, hips, and buttocks. It smooths out the dimples and creases associated with the cellulite; it also builds volume to help treat laxity of the skin. Dr. Gordon Kaplan specializes in Sculptra treatment for cellulite for his patients in NJ. Sculptra is a volumizing filler, which works best for larger areas when you desire a significant amount of added volume. Cellulite is one of the most common and frustrating cosmetic complaints women have. If the dimples on your thighs stop you from wearing shorts, skirts or bathing suits. You are not the only one, believe it or not, 90% of women have cellulite. Ladies, the quest to get rid of cellulite IS OVER! Many treatments promise to get rid of cellulite, but I recommend Sculptra because it is a simple technique, safe and effective. The evolution of the wrinkle filler has led to an amazingly effective product called Sculptra. But Sculptra is not a wrinkle filler, it’s a volumizer. It replaces the natural volume (fat) loss that occurs as we age. D

Who is a good candidate for Sculptra cellulite treatment?

A good candidate for the Sculptra treatment is someone in NJ who is in good health with no underlying systemic disorders. Also, is in good shape and does not have an excess of fat surrounding the cellulite.

How does the procedure work?

First, Dr. Gordon Kaplan will mark the dimples with a pencil and then tell you to lay down on the table. A little localized pain killer will be injected into the treatment areas. From then on, you will feel nothing but some pressure. Using the needle, the aesthetician will inject Sculptra (a long term filler that grows in your own collagen in the treated areas) in my trouble spots. The Sculptra injected into the dimples not only fills them in, but it is a collagen-stimulator, meaning the dimples are filled, new collagen is generated, and the overall appearance of the treated area is smoother and more firm.

How does it work?

Dr. Kaplan will fill in the dimples and creases associated with the cellulite with injections. Results are noticeable immediately after treatment, but that subsides rather quickly because it is mostly saline. Over the next several weeks, collagen is gradually built up from the PLLA injected, and the cellulite appearance improves.

What to expect after the Sculptra cellulite treatment?

After your Sculptra cellulite treatment with Dr. Gordon Kaplan, he will send you home with instructions for post-operative care. The injections are performed under local anesthesia, and common side effects include temporary swelling, redness and bruising. If you are concerned about Sculptra side effects, please ask for more details during your consultation.

How long does it last?

With a series of treatments over several months, Sculptra is injected directly into the affected area. Gradually, it stimulates collagen and fills out the depleted tissue. Results of Sculptra can last as long as 2-5 years. Eventually, the product is harmlessly absorbed by your body.
