What is the ZO Peel?

The ZO Peel is a treatment that helps improve signs of skin aging. Also, the peel treatment is ideal for targeting melasma, sun damage, fine lines, uneven texture, large pores, dull skin, and even acne! Suitable for any skin type or color. Rejuve Medspa at The Kaplan Center specializes in ZO Peel treatment for patients in NJ.

How does it work?

The ZO Peel is a three step stimulator. It has three different ingredients and three steps!

Getting started:

Better results are achieved when the skin is already prepared. The 5 steps daily process; cleanse, active (to increase the penetration of active ingredients): Stimulate (to awaken and rejuvenate dormant cells): Calm and Nourish: and Protect (sunscreen),  will boost the results of the peel. It is important to start at least 6 weeks before the Peel.

Step 1: Peeling

The aesthetician will apply the peel solution to exfoliate skin.

Step 2: Stimulation

The aesthetician will apply Stimulating Retinol Creme directly after your peel. This creme works to stimulate cellular function at a deep level for collagen enhancement, firming, and wrinkle reduction.

Step 3: Hydrating & Anti-inflammation

The aesthetician will apply Calming Creme which works to minimize inflammation and irritation that may result from the first two steps as well as restore the moisture balance of the skin.

Benefits of the ZO Peel:

The benefits of ZO Peel are great for:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Deep/ large pores
  • Melasma and other pigmentation issues
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Badly textured skin
  • Acne prone skin
  • Sun damage

  • Dull skin

What areas can you treat with this peel?

The most common area treated with this peel for NJ patients is the face; however, it can also be performed on the neck, chest, hands and even the arms and legs if needed.

How is the ZO Peel procedure performed?

The aesthetician at Rejuve Medspa at The Kaplan Center in NJ will clean your skin first and remove any make-up you have on. Then will apply a few coats of the peel to your skin; this will take about three minutes to apply the peel. After that, she will apply some of the retinol cream followed by the calming creme. You will be giving instructions for the aftercare.

What should you expect after the treatment?

The cream that the aesthetician applies is yellow, so your skin might be yellow for 3-5 hours after your the peel, you should also expect the following:

  • Red skin
  • Peeling skin
  • Skin feels tight
  • Mild discomfort
  • Some swelling can occur
  • Skin might be itchy from time to time

How long do the results last?

The ZO Peel results for our NJ patients are often achieved instantly, you will have glowing, smoother, tighter, brighter-looking skin after just one treatment, although a series of treatments can be repeated every 3-4 weeks for deeper repair.

Who is suitable for the peel?

The ZO Peel is suitable for any skin type or color.

How long is the recovery?

Your skin will be red and feel dry for one or two days, the third and fourth days after your peel; your dead skin will slough off.
