Restylane New Jersey

Restylane® is one of the most popular brands of injectable wrinkle fillers since it treats several concerns with specialized formulas for results that are long-lasting.

What Is Restylane®?

At The Kaplan Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, our skilled team offers a wide range of filler products to help correct aging in the face, addressing wrinkles, lines, and lost volume in several areas of the face, including the nose, cheeks, chin, jawline, and hands. Restylane® is made with a synthetic version of the body’s natural hyaluronic acid (HA), giving the skin a natural, softer look that is more supple and full. A custom dermal filler plan can treat mild, moderate, or severe facial lines and wrinkles, as well as add volume to the lips and cheeks.

The Kaplan Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Edgewater, NJ carries many Restylane® injectables, which include:

  • Restylane: Addresses facial folds and wrinkles
  • Restylane Defyne: Fills in moderate to severe laugh and smile lines
  • Restylane Lyft: Adds lift and volume to the cheeks
  • Restylane Refyne: Corrects moderate smile and laugh lines
  • Restylane Silk: Builds fullness in the lips and corrects vertical lip lines
  • Restylane Kysse: Boosts the volume and contour of the lips

Who Is An Ideal Candidate For Restylane®?

Restylane® treatments are suitable for any patient over 21 years of age who is looking to refresh their overall appearance. Since it has different formulas, your procedure will be personalized to fit your needs, concerns, and goals. Restylane can help you correct early signs of aging, including fine facial lines, or increase the volume in your lips and cheeks. It may also treat moderate to severe wrinkles, like frown lines, laugh lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and more.

Restylane® can also be provided for a nonsurgical liquid rhinoplasty, the jawline, the chin, and the hands. Certain formulas are mixed with the anesthetic lidocaine so you need to disclose any known allergies during your consultation to prevent a negative reaction.

Our Restylane® Injection Technique

Restylane® dermal injections take place inside the treatment room at The Kaplan Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. A numbing cream may be put on the treatment areas for increased comfort if desired. The product is injected into your skin with a fine-gauge needle and massaged so it reaches the selected areas. Multiple injections will be needed, followed by a cold, gentle compress to help control inflammation. Every Restylane filler is injected with a similar technique but in different areas that target your unique needs and aesthetic goals.

What Can I Expect After Restylane® Injections?

When your Restylane® injections are done, you can resume your day. Your recovery timeframe will depend on what is being treated so ask your injector about what to expect. The treated areas will appear slightly red and swollen, but this typically fades away in a few hours. Bruising may be a factor, but this may be concealed with cosmetics.

It’s suggested that you avoid strenuous activity for 1–2 days, and you should sleep with your head propped up for the first night. Many patients will notice some changes immediately after their treatment, but it often takes 1–2 weeks until the final results appear. Restylane® injections often last up to one year based on the formula selected.
